Queen Elizabeth Academy provides online one-on-one tutoring to students in Calgary, with math tutoring currently advertised for Grades 5–12. QEA does not list a physical Calgary tutoring centre; its current website says students in locations outside its physical premises receive live online tutoring. Serves students in Calgary online; no public walk-in location. QEA's math program uses a structured lesson-based approach. Tutors review concepts, work through application and word problems, provide additional practice and use exam-review materials or mock exams where appropriate. Current offerings include elementary and high-school math (Grades 5–8, Grade 9 and Grade 10 math) as well as Pre-Calculus 11, Pre-Calculus 12, Calculus 12, Pre-IB Grades 9 and 10, IB Math SL and HL, AP Math and AP Calculus. Test and exam preparation includes practice problems, exam-review packages and mock exams. Contact Queen Elizabeth Academy for current tutoring rates. QEA previously published Calgary tutoring packages, but those prices are no longer displayed on its current Calgary math page. QEA also operates Ontario private-credit courses online, which may use small-group instruction. These are separate from ordinary tutoring and are not Alberta Education credits; families should check Alberta diploma requirements before relying on them. QEA uses curriculum terminology from Ontario and other programs on its website, so MathTutorsNearMe.ca does not currently classify the Calgary service as specifically aligned with Alberta high-school math courses.
Teaching approach: Queen Elizabeth Academy uses structured, lesson-based one-on-one tutoring rather than relying only on students to bring individual homework questions. Tutors review concepts, explain application and word problems step by step, provide additional practice worksheets and assign weekly practice. QEA emphasizes understanding concepts and building foundations rather than memorizing procedures. Its math program also uses test-level problems, exam review and mock exams where appropriate.
