Tutor Doctor Calgary

Tutor Doctor Calgary is the Calgary–Airdrie Tutor Doctor franchise owned by Yossi Suissa, a long-time local operator. It does not run a conventional walk-in tutoring centre: tutoring happens one-to-one in the student's home or online. The territory covers Calgary and Airdrie, along with Redwood Meadows, Rocky View County and Tsuu T'ina. Calgary communities currently listed by this team include Aspen Woods, Auburn Bay, Bridlewood, Cranston, McKenzie Towne, Seton, Shawnessy, Signal Hill, Somerset and Springbank. The team's current Calgary materials say tutors can align support with the Alberta curriculum and the student's current classroom material. Its local math pages cover Alberta courses from K–6 Math through Math 30-1 and Math 30-2, plus PAT and Diploma Exam preparation. It also lists support for pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, post-secondary math and adult upgrading.

Teaching approach: Sessions are one-to-one and personalized to the student's goals, learning style and current coursework, with tutoring aligned to the Alberta curriculum.

Families begin with a free consultation, where the Calgary–Airdrie team learns about the student's goals, academic needs, personality and learning style. Tutor Doctor describes this as part of a free needs assessment. The student is then matched with a tutor based on subject expertise, fit and availability. Sessions are one-to-one and take place in the student's home or online. Families receive ongoing follow-up and session reporting from the local team.
