Calgary Home Tutoring

Calgary Home Tutoring provides private tutoring throughout Calgary, with sessions available in students' homes and online. The service supports elementary, junior-high and high-school students in Math, English Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. For math tutoring, Calgary Home Tutoring says it works with the Alberta curriculum and focuses on the material students are currently learning at school, from elementary through high-school math. Tutors may also step back to strengthen earlier skills when gaps are making current work more difficult. The company also advertises preparation for standardized tests including the SAT, ACT, GRE and SSAT, and describes its test-prep tutors as experienced with those exams. General tutoring prices are not currently published, so families should contact Calgary Home Tutoring for current rates and availability. Calgary Home Tutoring does not currently have a verified public walk-in tutoring centre in our research. Its primary service model is tutoring in students' homes or online.

Teaching approach: Calgary Home Tutoring focuses tutoring on the material students are currently working on in school while also addressing earlier skill gaps when necessary. Its approach is individualized rather than based on a fixed tutoring-centre program, with tutors working directly with students in their homes or online.
